And all I really want is to be with my honey! How ironic is that?
The pups got me up some time ago, and I've been sitting on the back porch enjoying the morning. It is so nice to live someplace where we only have neighbours on either side--when looking out from the porch it feels almost as though we live in the country. I can hear birds and insects, and not much else--no cars or noisy kids or folks clunking around in their garages. At night, I can see stars. Lots and lots of stars. I love our porch and yard, and I especially love the Sky Chairs. I should spend more time out there!
I got to looking at a couple spiderwebs while I was out there, and I have to say that I never cease to be amazed at their beauty. And what feats of engineering! Sometimes I'm lucky enough to actually catch a spider in the act of spinning and it's a mesmerizing thing. We humans think we're so tecnologically advanced, but look at the spider web! Finer than human hair, some amazing strength rating (I forget exactly, but I think for its size that it's stronger than steel or something), AND it's beautiful. Oh, and it comes from spider butt. :) Yeah, we've got a long way to go to catch up with the lowly spider. I'm leaving the webs up today, because I think it very unlikely that anyone will be coming to see the house.
I was going to chat a bit about something else, but for the life of me I don't know what. I can always come back to it later, I suppose. Happy Fourth!

Sounds like you had a lovely morning. I wanted to sit outside and sip my coffee, but the nagging voice in my head kept saying "clean the car, clean the car." I guess I'd made the decision to do it while I was riding the bus home yesterday. "Okay, Sunday I will clean the car top to bottom, inside and out." What do you know, it actually happened!
Kev's got to work tonight so I am having an independent night tonight myself. He just got home from the Dead and he's already gone to get himself some food. I decided to stay since I'd just ate two pieces of pizza and I can't stand Quiznos.
Ah well, I digress...happy fourth dear friend.
Shall I try posting a comment again since my first one has been sucked into the vortex that is the internet?
I hope your 4th went well, from your email I received I am glad to hear the dogs faired better than Josie.
